Whether you’re planning for a move or simply going on a trip, no one wants to leave their beloved pet behind. However, depending on where you’re going, you may not be able to simply toss your furry friend in the car or on a plane and head off to a new destination. Many countries, and even other states, require certain certificates and health information about your pet to be completed and presented before you’ll be allowed to bring them across the border. Fortunately, we’re here to help.
As long as you contact us well in advance of your travel plans, we should be able to make sure that we can help provide you with all of the health checks, necessary vaccinations, and documentation you need to ensure that your pet can legally and safely travel with you to your destination. Make sure that you contact us as early as possible, as we may need to space out vaccinations across a schedule— they can’t always be administered all at once just before a trip.
In most cases, the form you’ll need will be a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection, which essentially informs relevant authorities at your destination that your pet has been inspected by a certified veterinarian and found to be healthy as well as up-to-date on required vaccinations. We’ll verify that your pet is healthy, isn’t showing any signs of serious illness, and there are no other warning signs that it’s not safe to bring to another state or country.
Contact us today if you’re planning a trip with your pet and we can help you determine exactly what you’ll need.
